Network Administrator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Administrator to join our team in Singapore. This on-premise role is essential in ensuring the seamless operation and robust security of our IT infrastructure. You will work closely with IT, Security, and Engineering teams to design, maintain, and secure a highly available network environment. Responsibilities

As a Network Administrator, you will:

  • Gather user requirements and analyze workflows to design and implement robust system infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, and test PC/server hardware, software, LAN/WAN networks, and operating systems.
  • Set up and manage firewalls, switches, access points, and other network components.
  • Develop and implement security measures, including access controls, VPNs, and remote access solutions.
  • Manage CCTV, alarm systems, and conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Establish and test disaster recovery policies and procedures.
  • Oversee data backups, IT inventory, password systems, and IT documentation.
  • Manage the ticketing system for user support and provide technical assistance to users.
  • Continuously monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and perform performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve escalated issues.
  • Identify and implement security enhancements and evaluate new technologies.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for all IT processes.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should bring:

  • Solid experience in systems administration (Linux, Windows, macOS) and virtualization (VMware).
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, security, hardware configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, and proxy servers.
  • Proficiency in Docker and Python scripting.
  • Familiarity with Wi-Fi access points, printer configuration, CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
  • Knowledge of VPN and remote access technologies.
  • Expertise in backup management and password management best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with project and issue tracking, ticketing systems, and documentation tools.
  • Familiarity with health monitoring and auditing processes.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).

Day-to-Day

Your typical day will involve:

  • Monitoring and maintaining the health of the network and IT systems.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Collaborating with team members to implement security measures and system enhancements.
  • Managing user support requests through the ticketing system.
  • Documenting IT processes and ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Conducting regular security audits and testing disaster recovery procedures.
  • Evaluating and implementing new technologies to meet evolving needs.
